Biography
Michaela Gyasi-Agyei is a lawyer and policy advisor who is interested in the connection between geopolitics, cyber security, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. She holds a Bachelors of Economics/Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland, and graduated as Valedictorian of her cohort. Her policy paper on Africa-Australia security cooperation has been featured in the 2026 Voices of the Future publication, a collaboration between The Australian National University and the Girls Leadership Network. She was selected to participate in the inaugural Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA) Australia in November 2024. From January to June 2024, Michaela was the Africa Fellow for Young Australians in International Affairs. She has also completed Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Introduction to Cyber Security courses offered by the Institute of Applied Technology. Michaela is currently a member of the Australian Women in Security Network and Women in International Security Australia.
